+ HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

I like to take a "fly on the wall" approach and aim to deliver natural, "in the moment" candid images in a documentary style. I don’t do the whole ‘look at the camera and say cheese’ that's definitely not my thing. The only time I need people looking into my camera is during the family formals/group photos… and I like to keep those to a minimum as well! It’s not my style to shoot you in staged, awkward poses and forced smiles because those suck. I want you to feel like yourselves and have fun!

+ WHEN SHOULD WE SHOOT OUR PORTRAIT SESSION?

Every good photographer will tell you that golden hour is the best time to do portraits (If you're lucky enough to have one). An hour before the sun sets will give you the most amazing light. If a shooting at golden hour is not possible due to bad weather, it’s best to schedule the session either after the ceremony or before the reception party. If there is one time of day you should completely avoid for shooting portraits/formal group photos, then it's midday! Please plan for your portraits wisely and let's not do them at midday with the sun beating down on your faces causing all sorts of weird shapes and shadows. + HOW LONG SHOULD WE EXPECT TO WAIT FOR OUR WEDDING PHOTOS?

I need around 4-6 weeks to process your photos, however this can vary depending on the time of year. I shoot 50+ weddings a year (most of which take place in the summer months) and it’s just me, I have no help. I also sort through and edit each individual photo you will receive. Many photographers may just edit a small selection of photos and give you the rest unedited, I believe this is a job half done. I would rather have you wait a little longer and deliver a fully edited album that represents my brand.

+ HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?

All clients receive their finished product in the form of an online album. From this album you can download your photographs in full size. You can also share the album with others if you wish to do so.

+ DO WE RECEIVE PRINTS?

Prints and more are available to order from the online gallery that you receive.

+ WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU, WHEN IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Most weekends I’m working at weddings, or travelling to/from. So weekdays are definitely easier for me.

+ WHAT SIZE IMAGES DO WE RECEIVE, DO WE RECEIVE THE RAW FILES & ARE THE IMAGES WATERMARKED?

My images are never watermarked- not my style! All images are 5,000px (long edge) at a 300 DPI and are ready for print. The online album also gives you the option to download the photos in ‘web’ format, which are the perfect size for social-media. Under no circumstances will I give my clients RAW files, RAW files are purely for editing purposes, and for this reason no one will have access to the RAW files apart from me :)

+ DO YOU SHOOT ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES WEDDINGS?

Yep, just drop me an email! In the summer months I'm usually busy with weddings, but depending on what month I may have some time left over, so just get in touch.

Yes, Nicaela Emily Photography is a licensed business.

+ DO WE HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

Yes, I ask for a deposit, this deposit will reserve the date of your wedding.
