As a photographer, I frequently encounter couples who opt for an after-wedding photo shoot. This is exactly what happened when this lovely couple approached me for their shoot in the Dolomites. They had already tied the knot back home and were now making their way through Italy while on their honeymoon. The idea of getting some stunning shots in their wedding attire amidst the beautiful mountains was something they simply couldn't resist.

The couple had packed their wedding outfits carefully and hiked up to the mountain peaks at sunset along with me to capture this day in perfect light, I also waited for the sun to go down to incorporate some night time shots as well

While some couples may be hesitant to pass on the tradition of having a wedding photography session on their big day, there are certain advantages to having an after-wedding shoot instead. Firstly, it provides an opportunity for the couple to choose a location that is not limited by the wedding venue or schedule. This allows for more creative and unique photoshoot ideas and you can choose a day and time you know will have perfect light!

Secondly, the after-wedding shoot takes off much of the pressure and emotions of the wedding day. The bride and groom can relax and take their time to pose for the perfect shot, whereas on their wedding day, it may be much more overwhelming to get all of the perfect photos when emotions are high.

Overall, this after-wedding shoot for the couple in Italy was an unforgettable experience for all of us, so much fun!

This after wedding photoshoot in the Dolomites took place near the iconic Tre Cime and was part of a honeymoon trip through Italy. The couple had already celebrated their wedding at home and decided to capture additional photos in one of the most impressive mountain locations in Europe.

As a Dolomites elopement and destination wedding photographer, I often work with couples who want more than just traditional wedding day photos. An after wedding shoot like this allows you to create something more relaxed, intentional, and visually unique.

For this session, we hiked into the mountains for sunset, capturing their wedding outfits against the dramatic landscape of the Dolomites. The light, the scenery, and the quiet atmosphere made it the perfect setting for natural, candid moments. We also stayed after sunset to create a few night images, adding a different feel to the gallery.

Als Fotograf treffe ich häufig auf Paare, die sich für ein After-Wedding-Fotoshooting entscheiden. So war es auch bei diesem lieben Paar, das mich für ihr Shooting in den Dolomiten ansprach. Sie hatten bereits zu Hause geheiratet und bereisten nun Italien während ihrer Hochzeitsreise. Die Idee, atemberaubende Aufnahmen in ihrer Hochzeitskleidung vor der beeindruckenden Bergkulisse zu machen, konnten sie einfach nicht widerstehen.

Sie hatten ihre Hochzeitsoutfits sorgfältig gepackt und sind mit mir zu den Berggipfeln zum Sonnenuntergang gewandert, um diesen Tag im perfekten Licht festzuhalten. Ich wartete sogar darauf, dass die Sonne unterging, um auch einige Nachtaufnahmen zu machen.

Während einige Paare zögern, die traditionelle Hochzeitsfotografie am Hochzeitstag aufzugeben, gibt es bestimmte Vorteile, ein After-Wedding-Shooting zu machen.
